Renowned Designer Rick Lee Contributes Pieces That Define a New Style

Armen Living, importer and manufacturer of contemporary furniture, has announced the introduction its new Urbanity Collection. In making the announcement, the company emphasized that the collection embodies the signature urban-casual sensibility for which the firm’s most recent designs have become known.

The Urbanity Collection will be officially introduced at showroom B-125 at the Las Vegas Market August 2-6, 2010.

In creating the new collection, Armen Living has revamped the broad assortment of pieces it introduced last fall when the company launched 100 new items in five furniture categories, the largest product introduction to date in the company’s 32-year history. In response to feedback from buyers and consumers over the last nine months, the manufacturer has updated its collection by adding new pieces and revising some designs.

"Armen Living’s product development team has honed in on what has most excited our clients about the collection and worked to refine our fabric palettes and bring in new colors, patterns and materials that enhance the urban-casual appeal of our spectrum of offerings," said Kevin Kevonian, owner and president of Armen Living.

According to Kevonian, a cornerstone of the Urbanity Collection will be new dining pieces, buffets and occasional tables created by the renowned furniture designer Rick Lee. "We are extremely proud to be working with Rick Lee, an award-winning designer whose aesthetic sensibilities and innovative thinking have given a cutting-edge style to our collection," Kevonian said.

"The new pieces define the very latest in contemporary furniture styling, reflecting the metropolitan mindset of our young consumer market," Lee added. "It is a great pleasure for me to have the freedom to give shape and form to the stylistic direction provided by Armen Living." Created exclusively for Armen Living, Lee’s new pieces are a visually compelling mixture of steel, wood and natural stone materials combined in trapezoidal shapes that juxtapose parallel and angular sides.

In addition to the roll out at the Las Vegas Market, Armen Living will debut its new collections on its www.armenliving.com website beginning this Wednesday, July 28.
